IGNITE STUDENT INTERNSHIPS

Our IGNITE Internships are designed to provide students with assignments that bridge the gap between classroom studies and real-world experience. Participants build diverse, functional capabilities, while developing leadership, project management, and presentations skills.

IGNITE internships focus on key fields where Harley-Davidson is always looking for talent – each one is used as a feeder for our full-time rotational development program in the same field. We currently offer IGNITE Internships in:

  • Finance
    • Summer internship with an assignment in financial planning, financial reporting, internal audit or financial analysis.
  • Human Resources
    • Summer internship with an assignment in Total Rewards, Employee Relations/Labor Relations, Harley-Davidson University, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition or HR Business Services.
  • Information Technology
    • Summer internship with an assignment in Service Strategy and Delivery, Enterprise Technology Services, Corporate Information Security and Data Privacy Office, or the Business Management Services Group.
  • Product Development Design
    • Year-long internship to learn about the role of the Designer within the Methodology, as well as to continue building knowledge and awareness of design tools and processes such as Creo (Pro-Engineer), Virtual Assemblies, Engineering Change Notices, and Design of Components.

  • Opportunities to network with Senior Leadership
  • Numerous community volunteer opportunities
  • Networking with other IGNITE interns, co-ops, rotational development program employees, and alumni across the organization

All interns are considered employees of Yoh, a third-party agency that administers these positions, during their assignments, but will be working at a Harley-Davidson facility.

ADDITIONAL INTERNSHIPS

From time-to-time Harley-Davidson has additional internship opportunities for students to gain real work experience that enhances their academic training outside or our formal IGNITE program. These provide work assignments of increasing challenge and responsibility appropriate to the student’s abilities and academic focus. Assignments and projects vary and allow the student to develop themselves technically, broaden their academic background and explore career interests.
