STUDENT CO-OPS
IGNITE STUDENT CO-OPS
Our IGNITE Co-ops are designed to provide students with assignments that bridge the gap between classroom studies and real-world experience. Participants build diverse, functional capabilities, while developing strong business acumen, leadership capabilities, project management skills and effective communication.
IGNITE Co-ops focus on key fields where Harley-Davidson is always looking for talent – each one is used as a feeder for a full-time rotational development program in the same field. We currently offer IGNITE Co-ops in:
- Supply Chain/Materials
- Eight-month co-op with an assignment in one of the following areas: Materials: Product Development Purchasing, Supply Base Management, Supply Chain Management, Material Operations, or Indirect Procurement.
- Product Development
- Multi-semester co-op program for engineering students. Participants gain comprehensive engineering experiences through robust assignments at either the Harley-Davidson Product Development Center (Wauwatosa, WI) or the Arizona Proving Grounds (Yucca, AZ). Students are typically on assignment full-time for three to eight months per rotation, completing a minimum of three co-op terms.
Our IGNITE Co-ops focus on robust assignments and professional development including:
- Two-day H-D Welcome Onboarding
- Broad exposure to your function
- A formal mentor and young professional buddy
- Opportunities to network with Senior Leadership
- Numerous community volunteer opportunities
- Networking with other IGNITE interns, co-ops, rotational development program employees, and alumni across the organization
All co-ops are considered employees of Yoh, a third-party agency that administers these positions, during their assignments, but will be working at a Harley-Davidson facility.
ADDITIONAL CO-OP OPPORTUNITIES
From time-to-time we have additional co-op opportunities for students to gain real work experience that enhances their academic training outside or our formal IGNITE program. These additional co-op opportunities provide work assignments of increasing challenge and responsibility appropriate to the student’s abilities and academic focus. Assignments and projects vary and allow the student to develop themselves technically, broaden their academic background and explore career interests.
For current co-op opportunities outside of the IGNITE program, please visit jobs.yoh.com. Yoh is a third-party agency that administers these programs. All co-ops are considered employees of Yoh during their assignments, but will be working at a Harley-Davidson facility.
