IGNITE Rotational Development Programs are full-time, entry-level positions for individuals who are looking to develop their professional and leadership skills while finding their passion!

Associates in our IGNITE Rotational Development Programs participate in a series of robust and meaningful rotations that have a direct impact on our business while building functional expertise and developing personal leadership skills. Programs range from three to four years, with rotations between six and 12 months long.

Associates in an IGNITE Rotational Development Program are Harley-Davidson employees and qualify for company benefits such as medical and dental plans, 401k, tuition reimbursement.

We currently offer IGNITE Rotational Development Programs in:

  • Engineering
    • The four-year Technical Excellence Program (TEP) focuses on developing engineers concentrated in manufacturing. You will gain experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Supervision, Quality Engineering, and Continuous Improvement by rotating through positions at our U.S. facilities located in Wisconsin; York, Pa.; and Kansas City, Mo.
  • Finance
    • Participants in the three-year Financial Excellence Program (FEP) learn about Harley-Davidson’s business processes, strategic vision and culture through challenging assignments made available within the company’s finance area. Participants also lead or assist in compliance audit projects, risk consulting for leadership and independent appraisal of internal controls.
  • Human Resources
    • During the three-year Human Resources Development Program (HRDP), associates with an interest in HR complete work in areas such as Total Rewards, Talent Management and Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations/Labor Relations, Harley-Davidson University Learning and HR Business Services.
  • Information Technology
    • The three-year Information Technology Development Program (ITDP) allows associates to gain experience in four distinct roles including customer facing, technologist, project delivery, and operations. Each of these roles is an important aspect of how the H-D Global Information Services (GIS) organization provides technology, leadership, and business capabilities to enable our company strategies, protect the brand, and fulfill our company purpose.
  • Supply Chain/Materials
    • The Materials Excellence Program (MEP) is a three-year program of structured rotations and cross-functional projects. MEP Associates will gain an understanding of the company, plant operations and supplier management while developing their skills in communication, networking and project management. Rotations include experience within Developmental Purchasing, Supply Base and Supply Chain. Experiences may include time at the Harley-Davidson Product Development Center (Wauwatosa, WI) and one of our manufacturing facilities.
  • Sales and Marketing
    • Through the three-year Global Demand Development Program (GD-DP) you will learn how Harley-Davidson creates customers and engages them with the brand; how we align, place, price and promote while staying connected with our regional teams; and, how to cultivate a global business perspective. Rotations include experience within Sales Operations, Motorcycle Product Planning, Global Marketing & Brand, Retail Operations and Customer Experience, and the Harley-Davidson Museum.
