This position provides financial support and guidance to the HOG (Harley-Owners Group) and Consumer Events business. The role is also responsible for other key controls and processes within the Finance team. The main stakeholders in this role include the Marketing Events Manager, HOG Project Lead, and external partners that are vital in supporting these business areas. The position is an integral role within the EMEA Finance team with opportunities for learning and development for the successful candidate.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive financial support for assigned departments, including monthly performance reports, financial analysis, expense variance review, and recommendations for corrective actions when needed.
- Provides business analysis with emphasis in understanding the performance drivers of the departments being supported.
- Budgeting and forecasting for HOG and Events.
- Sole responsibility for maintaining a robust month-end close, including recording revenue, accruals, pre-payments, raising invoices, and posting payments.
- Responsible for intercompany recharges, debtors reporting and other monthly controls that ensure accurate reporting.
- Supporting HOG and Events with vendor management – creating new vendors, completing due diligence, raising purchase orders, and approving invoices.
- Maintaining relevant monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assisting with interim and year-end audit work as required.
- VAT calculations and reporting for HOG and Events.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience Requirements
Required
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in Finance.
- Competency in the use of spreadsheets and accounting systems for the purpose of analysis and financial modeling.
- Strong spreadsheet skills; Strong database skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.
- Self-motivated and a self-starter, continuously looking for process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining the broader, analytical perspective, and excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints.
Preferred
- Part Qualified - studying towards a relevant professional Finance qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA).
