This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.
Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the execution of the sourcing strategies for specific apparel categories, maintaining global supplier relationships, adhering and deliver to cost and margin goals associated to department metrics. Work closely with cross-functional partners in merchandising, design, product development and raw materials to allocate seasonal assortment which leverages the capabilities of our supply base.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage existing supplier relationships and identify new suppliers to support the business.
• Identify and target development with vendors that can execute the aesthetic requirements and deliver company financial goals. Counter-source costing and sampling with multiple vendors
• Manage cost and delivery negotiations with suppliers to meet/exceed margin goals
• Collaborate with design, product development, technical design and merchandisers to align on sourcing allocations that meet company initiatives.
• Work with suppliers and cross functional partners to build out time and action calendars
• Demonstrates in depth conceptual and practical knowledge in global supply chains, indirect and direct procurement.
• Understanding of the hot market and quick turn production.
• Expertise in graphic print, embroidery, and application techniques and production execution.
• Apply knowledge of supply chain best practices to coordinate and lead SOP updates.
• Analyze sourcing data to provide reports on cost, vendor performance and risk management.
• Works independently and receives minimal guidance.
• Responsible for ongoing activities, objectives and may lead projects or steps within a broader project.
• Coordinate with Quality Analysts and factories to monitor and enforce Harley-Davidson standards.
• Ability to clearly communicate across all levels of the organization.
• Responsible for data enrichment in FlexPLM and SAP for all seasonal and ongoing product
• Perform these and other duties as assigned
Education Requirements
Education Specifications
High School Diploma Required
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Degree in Supply Chain Sourcing, Product Develop and/or Vendor Management or related field preferred
Experience Requirements
Required
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within and / or lead a cross-functional group.
• Deadline driven with excellent communication skills and is proactive in approach to problem solving
Preferred
• Experience in a retail and/or manufacturing environment
• Experience with SAP/PLM
• Microsoft office

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
