The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra – You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a  Sr. Product Manager - Motorcycle P&A.

Job Summary

 

The Product Planning organization plans, launches and manages our portfolio of products for Motorcycles, Parts, Accessories and A&L. It supports the long-term growth and profitability of the regions and HDMC through its planning and management of portfolios of high demand, profitable products, and by ensuring their high impact delivery and support through Technical Service and HDU (Dealer Training). The Product Manager role will be responsible for bringing new or refreshed products (sourced and/or licensed) to market through managing an assigned product line’s life cycle (concept through sunset).
 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Accountable for product line and assortment management for product lines which are strategic to the portfolio
  • Demonstrate innovation to create and implement global product, pricing, and promotional strategies to accomplish revenue and strategic objectives
  • Solve problems, develop and execute objectives and effect short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Be the focal point and driver across organizational boundaries for the product and market strategy, strategy implementation, sales growth opportunities, cost reduction, and production efficiency
  • Conduct brand assessment and application, research, planning, implementation and overall management of the assigned product line including but not limited to: revenue growth, pricing guidance, sourcing/licensing, packaging, marketing activities, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead through influence by promoting cooperative behavior and team efforts effectively coordinating activities of cross-functional groups

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience Requirements

 

This position typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.  In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate this understanding into strategic direction and actionable products that results in value in the customer’s eyes
  • The ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization by providing input on a technical solution that meets the criteria and influence others to approve and support the direction
  • Proven skills in leadership, communication, collaboration in the execution of new initiatives and the ability to successfully challenge and motivate others

 

Preferred

  • Motorcycle riding experience preferred

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
