The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra – You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a  Design Engineer.

Job Summary

Harley-Davidson is on a mission to the lead the electrification of the Motorcycle Industry while staying true to our heritage of V-Twin powertrains in new and exciting ways. We are looking for a Design Engineer to help drive the design and development of chassis systems for H-D’s future portfolio of vehicles at the Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) in Wauwatosa, WI.

Job Responsibilities

•    The primary responsibility of this position is the design and development of class A composite components including project management, guideline and specification development, and an overall deep knowledge of related parts and processes. 
•    Job functions include part development, requirements setting, test plan development, FMEA and DVP&R template creation, and drawing template creation. 
•    As an Engineer the expectation will be to feed project and part knowledge into department standards that can be incorporated in future LCP projects. 
•    The ability to create CAD models, large virtual assemblies and detailed drawings for motorcycle components/systems while utilizing advanced surfacing techniques within Creo. 
•    Willingly works with others up, down, and across the organization to get results.

Bachelor's Degree Required

Education Specifications

  • This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. In addition, they will have demonstrated the following: 
•    Vehicle component & system design 
•    Design for manufacturing processes (DFM) 
•    Design for Assembly (DFA) 
•    Translating styling models to ProE geomet
