The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra – You dream it. We build it. Join our team as a Associate Motorcycle Designer - Color, Material, Finish.
Job Summary
The responsibility of this role is to create Color, Material and Finish designs for new and current Harley-Davidson products, with some LiveWire and Parts & Accessory support. This role requires a knowledge of design thinking and the ability to work cross functionally with teams outside of Design. The candidate needs to house the ability to identify future trends and apply them to our product while positioning the Harley-Davidson rider and culture at the forefront of consideration.
Job Responsibilities
- Contributes to trend research and co-creation of the Color, Material and Finish strategies per model year
- Defines CMF for new products mainly in H-D, Parts & Acessories, and possibly some LiveWire
- Ability to take CMF designs from concept through the development process
- Collaborates with outside of Design groups to communicate the CMF Design vision
- Ability to generate design presentations and material callouts
- Skills in 2D rendering and 3D mock-up support
- Demonstrates organizational and teamwork skills
- Input innovative ideas to MISC and Paint Innovation groups
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Education Specifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design or related technical field preferred.
Experience Requirements

- Requires no previous professional experience
- Ability to relocate to the Milwaukee area to be in onsite reviews weekly
- Demonstrates experience or knowledge in CMF conceptual creation
- Demonstrates skills in design thinking
- Demonstrates skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and PowerPoint
- Willingness and skills to work effectively within a group and/or team.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
