Our plant in Tomahawk, WI manufactures, finishes and ships composite and plastic parts to our final assembly plants. Join us as a Associate Supervisor Manufacturing.

Job Summary

The supervisor is the key link in the help chain for the rotation groups and team leaders. Holds the primary responsibility to provide resources, tools, and direction needed for the value adders to be as effective and efficient as possible. Oversees the day-to-day coordination and support of bargaining unit employees in rotation groups with team leaders in the manufacturing, assembly, and distribution of motorcycles and/or motorcycle parts. The majority of time is spent on the shop floor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Guides the internal materials group in daily activities at both Tomahawk facilities.
  • Completes important shipping documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Completes DOT-required hazardous waste shipping documentation.
  • Administer PIV (Fork truck) operator training.
  • Communicate with external logistics suppliers and internal buyers.
  • Assists with inventory tracking and transactions.
  • Support rotation groups to achieve department metrics for safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, and sustainability.
  • Supports Continuous Improvement and strives to achieve cost-effective results.
  • Meet production schedules while executing labor planning.
  • Participate in scheduling and production planning.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the utilization of CI tools to support the operations of the department.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires no previous professional experience.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a co-op program or intern assignment
  • Demonstrated ability at the team leader level at Harley-Davidson or other relevant leadership experience for a period of two years, plus the expressed desire to continue business and leadership education and training, will be accepted.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
