Job Summary

The Lead Sales and Operations Planning role is responsible for providing leadership using an infl uentialleadership style with global Sales and Operations Planning for motorcycles / parts and accessories / generalmerchandise. This position will lead project teams through the coordination and development of the integratedworldwide retail and wholesale forecasts, and / or inventory (company and dealer) and production plans withrelevant stakeholders to maximize volume growth on a worldwide basis.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Lead, develop and improve Sales & Operations Planning processes, standardization of work, planningcalendars, performance & process metrics, meetings, presentations, after action reviews (AAR), Excelspreadsheets, especially as these items relate to the Sales & Operations Planning 5 Step Process (datagathering, demand planning, supply planning, pre-Sales & Operations Planning meeting and ExecutiveSales & Operations Planning meeting)
  • Evaluate and comprehend worldwide retail sales, wholesale shipments, inventory (company and dealer)and production plans in all markets
  • Develop processes to ensure alignment to optimize sales and inventory levels in conjunction with worldwidesales and fi nance objectives and strategies
  • Lead change management eff orts to increase the infl uence, which worldwide retail analysis and planningwill have on corporate objectives
  • Develop and implement best practices and metrics to increase and show the health of Sales & OperationsPlanning as a process
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by helping to manage short and long-range Sales & OperationsPlanning goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures that are consistently applied throughout thecompany

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management of forecasting leadership with project management,meeting facilitation and business process development experience
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Profi cient in data analysis and ability to analyze data on a problem-to-solution level and make appropriaterecommendations
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects

Preferred

  • Experience with change management
  • Motorcycle, Parts & Accessories, General Merchandise and Licensed Product knowledge
