Job Summary
The Sr Professional Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the success and growth in global markets through effective leverage of trade compliance knowledge consistent with H-D priorities and risk philosophy. The Sr Professional Trade Compliance Analyst will develop our corporate trade compliance systems and processes to ensure compliance assurance and the business continuity of our global manufacturing operations. This role will have accountability for developing internal controls and import data analytics primarily in North America and other regions around the world. While this analyst will have responsibility for leading our record retention, and the compliance audit program will need the ability to manage ACE reporting to assist in customs auditing.
Job Responsibilities
• Lead the record retention for the collection of customs entries from import brokers
• Responsible for trade compliance assurance with primarily in North America but may extend to other countries.
• Oversight of duty analytics and creation of trade compliance dashboard
• Effectively identify and escalate risks that could result in penalty or jeopardize the H-D through corresponding compliance audit.
• Drive automation of transactional trade compliance requirements to reduce manual processing where appropriate and redeploy trade resources to valued-added activities.
• Manage trade management data collection driving organizational change to improve data integrity where appropriate.
• Collaborate with the supply management and manufacturing operations teams to ensure the appropriate prioritization of company resources.
• Ensure integration and connectivity to the Global Trade Compliance team for alignment, knowledge sharing.
• Proactively contribute to global trade strategy, and tactical execution to drive continuous improvement in the trade space.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Education Specifications
Prefer LCB, CCS, or other additional industry certifications.
Experience Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in majority trade compliance role
• Ability to run and create ACE reports for import/export shipment data
• Experience with analyzing customs broker and ACE data to create trade compliance dashboards
• Experience training programs assignment and software applications
• Advanced knowledge of filing requirements for trade declarations
• Proven track record of automating transactional trade compliance reporting requirements
• Manage, digitize and standardize the collection of import data and management tools
• Ability to influence, develop, mobilize a regional trade compliance team
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
• Ability to work across teams to identify, develop, package and deliver opportunities
• Creativity to develop and package ideas that will drive revenue
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• SAP Experience
