Lead AS400 Platform Integration
Job summary
This position is responsible for performing and leading detailed design, configuration and implementation of solutions spanning all functional areas within the Commercial Servicing portfolio. The role will provide guidance to business and application teams ensuring business processes are enabled by H-D standard/supported technologies with the appropriate level of enterprise integration and sustainability. This position will direct offshore teams to perform effective and efficient support of the Commercial portfolio of systems and applications. This position works across Digital Office (DO) to ensure the highest level of application and system availability is delivered for HDFS.
Job responsibilities
- Development of integrated, detailed functional and technical designs and alignment of requirements with Harley-Davidson architectural standards
- Ensures solution design requirements are met such that business application systems are delivered per quality, cost and time commitments
- Ensures that integrated solution designs comply and align to the architectural guiding principles and that they include proper application controls and meet security requirements
- Works with project teams to ensure application systems/changes implemented per business user requirements, are architecturally sound and in alignment with achieving business target performance objectives
- Collaboratively delivers across Digital Office (DO) and Harley-Davidson business units to provide solution design leadership on tactical and strategic application development initiative
- Coaches and mentors others in the development of detailed functional and technical systems designs
- Present and explain designs to the Design Review Board (DRB) and actively participate in the design review processes: providing input, recommendations and guidance
Competencies and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- ITIL Service Design certification desired
- TOGAF certification a plus
- Possess strong knowledge of RPG ILE CLLE/CLP programming on the AS/400
- Ability to effectively motivate, influence and drive-results
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong self-starter and solutions-oriented
- Experienced with Turnover and Turnover Admin skill is a plus
- Detailed knowledge of File transfer methodologies using IFS, FTP, etc…
- Knowledgeable in running queries using SQL and Showcase
- Strong experience in analyzing the AS/400 language code to convert into an AS-IS state diagram
- Experience in Banking loan application processes or Financial Domain is a plus
- Possess strong knowledge of RPG ILE CLLE/CLP, experience programming on the AS/400
Experience
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
- 8 years of active and successful leadership in design and implementation of integrated solutions across multiple technologies
- Advanced design practices and methodologies
- Agile methodology is a plus
