Job Summary

 

The Enterprise Architect (EA) – Logistics & Supply Chain will lead and guide the evaluation and selection of technology architecture that aligns and drives current and future business based – logistics & supply chain capabilities across the enterprise plan to produce value stream. The EA will act as an internal business consultant in the support of the company's evolving SAP ERP capabilities and services. Responsible for designing broad based logistics & supply chain solutions across Harley-Davidson with a focus on SAP SCM, Advanced Planning, Supply and Demand planning and logistics modules. The EA must have a deep understanding of logistics, supply chain and ERP process areas across product, information, and finance flows. The EA must ensure implementation of standard and best practices enabled through SAP On-prem and Cloud environments. The EA will define target architectures and provide vision, problem anticipation, and problem-solving ability across the Harley-Davidson ERP landscape. 
The candidate will actively architect future state logistics across functional areas. Therefore, the resource requires a strong integration knowledge of peer functional modules, ERP and CIF.  The EA needs to have integration expertise in designing / understanding interfaces with other third-party systems. This role needs to possess a high level of soft skills to communicate effectively, partner with all levels in the organization and actively influence outcomes for the effectiveness of data, technology, and processes.
 

Job Responsibilities

 

•    Lead & mentor organization on technology and specifically SAP ERP Logistics and Supply Chain modules
•    Guide the extended solution architecture teams through the publishing of ERP logistics architecture principles, policies, and standards aligned to business and H-D Technology Strategy.
•    Govern and advise solution architects and technical experts in the delivery of the enterprise architecture for strategic business transformations and programs.
•    Lead the adoption of strategic Logistics technologies and changes across all stakeholders in support of strategic planning and innovation.
•    Research and consult with senior leadership to align strategic Logistics based SAP ERP architecture direction with corporate goals and strategy.
•    Consult with senior H-D stakeholders and program management on Logistics planning for evolving Plan to Produce enterprise shared services.
•    Define and document domain strategies, target architecture, as well as innovation opportunities.

A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

Experience Requirements

 

Required

 

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
•    Broad technology knowledge of major line of business applications, micro-services, and cloud-based architectures and related platform vendors.
•    Demonstrated experience in setting and influencing company-wide strategic architecture/technical direction.
•    Demonstrated experience in the development of architecture for business programs/projects. Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support of architecture best practices to all EA stakeholders.
•    Demonstrated experience in establishing architecture technology standards.
•    Strong analytical ability, judgment, and problem analysis techniques.
•    Strong interpersonal skills both written and verbal and able to effectively operate with executives, within a matrixed organization, geographically distributed, and across different time zones.
•    Motivated by the desire to make a difference in the business, to work with a highly talented set of peers and to work on interesting projects
•    Experiences in Warehouse Mgmt., Production Planning, etc. is nice to have

 


Preferred


•    Experience with EA Tools, enterprise architecture repositories and meta-modeling.
•    Certification or experience with enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.

 

 

Performance goals in the first 90-120 days.


•    Assess the current state of logistics and supply chain platforms and associated technologies that exist in the enterprise. 
•    Establish a governance framework to manage the lifecycle of logistics & supply chain systems and needed business capabilities.
•    Gain understanding of the key opportunities collaborating with key stakeholder organizations and in-flight initiatives.
•    Create a proposal and approach with milestones to achieve the future state vision and short-term priorities in alignment with the strategy. Establish a future state roadmap for the modernization of H-D logistic and supply chain systems.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
