This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing high-risk accounts, negotiating workout agreements and handling inventory repossessions of dealers in the U.S. and Canada. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in commercial lending, with a strong background in handling commercial inventory repossessions and managing high-risk accounts. This role requires a results-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to negotiate and restructure loans effectively. Travel will be required approximately 25% of the time.
Job Responsibilities
- Repossession Management: Oversee the repossession process, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Collect and manage high-risk accounts, identifying potential issues and developing proactive solutions.
- Forbearance Agreements: Negotiate and manage forbearance agreements to provide temporary relief to borrowers while protecting HDFS’ interests.
- Dealer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with dealers, providing guidance and support throughout the workout process.
- Negotiation: Negotiate repayment plans with borrowers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Documentation: Collaborate with legal team to prepare and review loan workout documentation.
- Reporting: Generate detailed reports on workout activities and outcomes for senior management.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial lending, preferably for a captive finance company, with a focus on loan workouts, collections and managing high-risk accounts.
- Proven track record of successfully managing Commercial repossessions and loan restructurings.
- Extensive experience in collections.
- Experience with forbearance agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and its application in commercial lending.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Intermediate Excel skills, proficient in all other Microsoft office applications.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
