Located just outside of the heart of DFW, and in one of the fastest growing suburbs, the Plano, Texas office serves as one of the Company's two operations centers. It serves as the main hub for HDFS’ Commercial Finance business, and also houses employees representing Rider Services, Underwriting, Risk, Enterprise Project Management, Accounting, Compliance, Human Resources, Global Information Services, Communications, and Legal. Job Summary

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst primary responsibility is to design, develop, implement, validate/monitor risk strategies of servicing HDFS accounts in North America.  
This individual is expected to provide data-driven solutions towards strategic/tactical business objectives that manages the loss/expense and improves the profitability/customer experience in the areas of Operational Improvements, Risk Initiatives and Engineers’ Processes. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst is the transformation and change management leader for portfolio risk management strategies by driving continuous improvement through servicing strategy development, Decision Engine System risk strategy Design/implementation and Technology/Process Transformation.

Job Responsibilities

•    Access and analyze business/strategy/score performance data and translate them into Servicing trends and root causes with recommendations of strategic metrics and operational requirements, communicate results and findings to key stakeholders and senior management.
•    Develop and execute test proposals and strategy/policy refinement portfolio risk management strategies such as collections, loss mitigation, customer relationship management (CRM), assess any portfolio impacts and recommends changes in procedures, systems, processes, and controls. 
•    Serve as the Risk Management SME and partner with transformation team, Operations, Data Science, BI/IT, Project management office to internalize/integrate/translate business rules/logics and scoring models used for servicing strategies into the technical development of the decision system platform with a focus on a desired business outcome. 
•    Demonstrates the capability of leveraging technology, processes, and tools (to create strategy change requirements, program scripting, system configurations, and technical testing methods) in the design and delivery of solutions.  Leverage’s system, intelligent process automation, and human capabilities to deliver speed and agility in process design and implementation. 
•    Support the growth of predictive and advanced analytical capabilities in an environment of continuous improvement, including use of AI, ML, and self-learning model technology along with traditional linear models and segmentation analysis, with rationale to match the chosen approach with the situation
•    Continually looks for opportunities to expand organizational knowledge, leading the discovery and partnering with Data Science, BI/IT to define new data processes/needs, develop strategies on how to update current decision processes, and estimates impact of change.
•    Monitor and validate an implementation of a risk strategy and modifications to risk criteria in the production systems. Identify implementation issues, policy exceptions, and create mitigation resolutions.
•    Conduct statistical and non-statistical data exploration, data validation, and identify/address data quality issues through Data analysis, data mining, creation of model/strategy documentation, and ad hoc/routine risk reports. 
•    Use strong written and oral communication skills to create and present data-supported, actionable recommendations of business benefits of data-driven analyses, models, and other technical recommendations to both peers and senior management 

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Education Specifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related field. Experience equivalency may be considered, as well.

Master’s Degree in Quantitative fields Preferred

Experience Requirements

•    3+ years financial services experience, preferably in Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Operations or Technology Transformation focused role.
•    3+ years of prior work with relational databases and working knowledge with SQL or similar data tool to integrate data from various sources.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel.
•    Strong knowledge of statistical and analytical methodologies and problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically and effectively utilize analytical software/techniques to develop and execute effective solutions
•    Creative thinker, problem-solver.
•    Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment.
•    A proven track record of contributing impactful results.
•    Ability to quickly grasp and understand complexity, problems, and concepts.
•    Leads and/or works well in a team environment; the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
•    Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills -the ability to achieve positive outcomes through influence.
•    5+ years of experience as a Credit Risk Analyst, Decision System Analyst, Business Rules Developer, or equivalent
•    Experience with decision engine software, system programming and artificial intelligence is a plus. 
•    Proficient in SAS, Knowledge seeker, Python, Tableau, or similar analytical packages.
