Our Arizona Testing Center location is moving to Stanfield, Arizona in 2026 and is home to all product testing. Test miles are supported by Test Riders, Mechanics, Engineers, Coordinators, Technical Specialists and Administrative personnel. ATC provides motorcycle testing services related to motorcycle development, performance, validation and certification.
Job Summary
The Environmental, Health and Safety Generalist supports the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of all EHS policies, processes, and programs to various internal and external stakeholders. This position will work with the salaried EHS staff, Union Safety Representative(s), Joint Labor Management Safety and Health Committees, managers, supervisors, and production employees to provide leadership to the health and safety policies, programs, processes, and EHS culture improvement at the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports the H-D Health & Safety Management System through assistance with CIS Integration, Workplace Analysis, Hazard Prevention & Control, Education, Communication & Recognition, and Care, Case & Claim Management.
- Provides technical safety support to all stakeholders, including, but not limited to, incident investigations, ergonomic assessments, interpretation of safety regulations, and the application of safety policy, process, and procedures.
- Assists and supports best-in-class strategies, standards, and solutions for occupational injury and illness prevention, compliance assurance, and behavioral performance based on regulations (OSHA), best practice standards (ANSI, NFPA, ACGIH, etc.), data analysis, and trend tracking.
- Assists and supports the safe operation of the Harley-Davidson testing operations. Providing support for off-site riding, Product development, On-site testing, ensuring safe operation, and conducting test riding for H-D Employees.
- Engagement with team on duty cycles, testing process/track interactions (signage, training, licensing, shared track operations).
- Engagement with third-party testing on safe test operations.
- Operational support of H-D testing operations and resident testing operations.
- Support EHS initiatives with the shared site operator.
- Support Product Development initiatives
- Assists and supports strategic educational and training programs that will improve the working safety knowledge of stakeholders to address issues that arise from the analysis of safety processes and injury data.
- Provide support to the implementation, management, and continuous improvement of all safety and health policies, processes, and programs to various internal and external stakeholders.
- Provides technical safety support to all stakeholders, including, but not limited to, incident investigations, ergonomic assessments, interpretation of safety regulations, and the application of safety policy, process, and procedures.
- Provide Human Resources support (I-9, badge access (security), visitor requests, new hire orientation, etc.)
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Education Specifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience.
- Must be knowledgeable in Arizona State and Federal Safety regulations pertaining to OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and NEC.
- Must understand and demonstrate aspects of safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics.
- Must be able to proactively lead and guide others to achieve success and create a Partnering environment.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- Must be a proactive problem solver who can work independently with flexibility and demonstrate the ability to maintain credibility and confidentiality.
- Valid Motorcycle endorsement, preferred

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
