Job Summary

As the Order Management Manager for the EMEA region you will be leading and be responsible from the moment orders are placed with Harley-Davidson until the order is delivered to the customer. In addition to overseeing the Order-To-Deliver process, you will manage and work closely together to deliver the Order-to-Cash process. 
As a leader, you will manage a team of four and work closely with our 3PL. You will interact with internal stakeholders and take accountability for all data elements connected to the order. 
You will track order information and processes, including order entry, inventory management, fulfillment, transportation and (after-sales) service. The Order Management function provides visibility to both the business and the customer. You will work to provide near real-time insights into inventories and order statuses to guide the Sales organization and fulfill customer demand. 
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Communicating with various functions and internal and external customers, and managing the day to day order management processes, order cut-off’s and performance, ensuring orders flow smoothly from order creation to order delivery.
  • Manage order statuses when orders flow through the OM process, from creation to fulfillment while working closely with Finance  and Credit Management.
  • Engage with Supply Planning and set-up governance to gather insights in open orders and ETA’s for supply coming into the EU.
  • Collaborate with Logistics teams around the Globe to get insights on Expected Time of Arrivals [ETA’s] for supply that is ordered and in transit towards our European Distribution Center.
  • Oversee the tracking of orders from creating to fulfillment, and the management of the people, processes, and data connected to the order.
  • Manage the lifecycle of an order, which allows the Order management function to track all information and processes, including order entry, inventory management, fulfillment, and [after-sales] service. 
  • Create Supply visibility, by ensuring realible and predictable order fulfillment statuses for orders placed on the system.Allowing you to provide near real-time insight into inventories, and ensuring customers are informed on when an order is delivered is a key part of the continued efforts to improve the Order Management Function.
  • On a more tactical level, your insights contribute to reducing and further optimizing the cost-to-serve. Making recommendations for structural improvements, such as   creating an optimized end-to-end process from order entry to order delivery.  
  • The OM team supports and contributes to coordinate quarterly and annual stock takes. 
  • A significant portion of the focus in this role, is on analyses and continuous improvement on the process and system [SAP, H-D net], as well as the data side [Excel, Power BI].
  • Administer the efficient and economical movement of goods (e.g., materials, products, equipment) across international borders in accordance with organizational policies and in compliance with relevant local, country, and international customs laws and processes.
  • Partner with company functions to provide volume and performance input and jointly conduct commercial business reviews.
  • Work closely with external customers (Dealers & E-commere customers) and internal customers like Field Sales Teams, Sales and Operations Planning, Credit and Finance.
     

Education Specifications

Holding HBO - Higher professional education degree or WO – University education degree or 10+ years of relevant work experience

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Several years’ experience in (Global) Order Management and Distribution 
  • Excellent Analytical / Excel / Power BI / Presentation skills 
  • Knowledge of OM systems and Microsoft office applications
  • User experience in SAP
  • Excellent English language 
  • Experience in “management by influence” (support function / matrix organization) 
  • Experience in driving change towards operational excellence
  • Complex data analysis - statistical knowledge

 

Preferred

  • Lean Sigma background
  • Experience in project management  
  • Understanding impact of Trade (Incoterms, Customs) compliance and Regulatory requirements
