Our Engineering team at the Livewire Labs facility located in Mountain View, CA has an opening for a Staff Electrical Design Engineer – Agile Scrum Master. This open position requires a relentless drive to success while working in an efficient, dynamic and agile systems focused engineering environment.

 

This engineer will be responsible for overall agile methodology ownership of software development within Livewire Labs.   This work includes task management, hosting daily software standup meetings with the software team, design and continually improve the agile methodology for Harley-Davidson, and provide weekly status reports of sprint progress.  

 

This is what you'll do:  

  • Lead overall EV software development team to meet Functional Rollout plan and overall program timing objectives from architecture definition to production launch using the Scrum Methodology
  • Host daily standup meetings with the software team to review roadblocks and explore potential efficiency opportunities between software development engineers
  • Manage sprint kickoff and tracking throughout the sprint cycle
  • Follow-up with individual engineers on incomplete or late task tickets
  • Provide guidance to engineers around expectations of each sprint
  • Build trust based safe environment for engineers to collaborate and develop high quality artifacts
  • Assist in backlog grooming of tasks, high risk, and bug tickets.
  • Develop and manage burn-up or burn-down task based tracking of progress
  • Host retrospective (after action reviews) of sprints on occasional basis

 

Education Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related technical degree.  Masters in related field is preferred.

 

Experience Required

  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I), Second level is preferred
  • Experience with Scrum Master role within a software development team that diligently applied Scrum principles, practices, and theory, one year minimum, 2 years preferred
  • Highly proficient with facilitation, providing situational awareness, resolving conflicts, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency between engineers and the rest of product development team
  • Understanding between Kanban and Scrum strategies and pros and cons between them
