Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to lead the definition and execution of future LiveWire products. The LiveWire Product Manager will report to the Portfolio Director and utilize consumer, industry, and product expertise, along with business acumen to define LiveWire products. You will own the product proposition and act as the voice of the customer while ensuring it delivers to LiveWire’s business objectives – maximizing the overlap of product desirability, feasibility, and viability. You will actively manage the product and platform through new product exploration, definition, development and delivery, refreshes, and sunsetting to grow the portfolio’s relevance and appeal while driving industry-leading profitability.

Job Responsibilities 
 WHAT: Own the business case and be the voice of the customer for a platform of products, including
•Target Customer: Defining who we serve and how we serve them.  Project Briefs: Document the reimagining of products or segments in compelling product briefs – from all-new whitespace opportunities to derivative models – all with clear positioning and  customer value proposition.
• Pricing and Volumes: Collaboratively develop and implement a pricing strategy for products across regions and set volume targets by model/configuration/market.
• Timeline: Establish a clear product planning timeline for LiveWire vehicles from ideation through selling and service.
• Product Financials: Ensure products deliver on LiveWire’s long-term financial targets.  
• Communications: Serve as the single source of truth across the organization for the platform’s products.   Drive an active, continuous dialog on the balance of relentless ambition with the ability to deliver.
HOW: Inform the product plan and support the company with
• Lifecycle Management: Continually optimize product introduction cadence, refreshes and sunsetting to increase LiveWire desirability and portfolio clarity. 
• Consumer Insights: Lead the development of consumer research plans. Utilize proven  frameworks (JTBD, etc.) to document how LiveWire products might uniquely address the needs  and desires of individual customer types and then confirm achievement of those objectives with  real customers. Work with the design studio, engineering, marketing, and early adopters to spot industry trends and develop advanced design and innovation initiatives to efficiently explore  potential projects.
• Industry Understanding: Utilize deep understanding of segments, sub-segments and competitive  landscape, including sales by region, brands, model, etc. Use these insights to document rich  context around the industry, underlying market and competitive dynamics, where the industry is likely headed and why.
• Rigor and Vision: Utilize a structured, methodical approach to vet and optimize products’ strategic and financial impact. Balance objective metrics with product intuition to develop opportunities.
• “Internal Compass”: Build a strong personal perspective of what great looks like, with full  willingness to embrace a better idea – from any source.
• Questioning Everything: Challenge the status quo and previous assumptions. Utilize a first principles approach to identify or build upon opportunities and potential solutions.
• Collaboration: Refine all aspects of the product plan with stakeholder input. Represent the  customer and product strategy across the business, setting context that enables fast,  independent, aligned decision-making, while absorbing ideas for “what could be”


Education Specifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience – MBA is a plus but not required


Experience Requirements

 • Knowledge of motorcycle, powersports or automotive segments, associated technology and vehicle/system tradeoffs – EV experience is a plus 
• Experience using proven frameworks to define product plans and optimize positioning 
• Experience with discounted cash flow and related financial analysis 
• Familiarity with product development processes 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to distill complex concepts into clear, concise messages and recommendations 
• Ability to collaboratively lead groups to a common goal 
• Able to thrive in a self-directed culture, navigating ambiguity and creating direction
