Operating like a start-up, we're seeking problem-solvers who demonstrate leadership while being comfortable with hands-on work every day.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Powertrain Systems Engineer to help lead the design and definition of various powertrain subsystems (Battery, Motor, Inverter, On-Board / Off-Board Charger) with a focus on system-level interaction, functional behavior, process / state flow, and connection to user experience and product performance. You will work closely with experts across several engineering disciplines to propose practical solutions and break down complex vehicle behaviors into subsystem requirements. You will develop and refine models to simulate system behavior, understand tradeoffs, edge cases and failure modes, and document behaviors for implementation. You will also perform integration testing, verifying the behaviors that you develop and incorporating learnings into future versions.

Key Responsibilities
•    Develop models to simulate vehicle and/or powertrain behavior. Define drive cycles, test cases, and other powertrain system requirements.
•    Engaging with subject matter experts across disciplines, propose algorithms and other functions to coordinate system behavior.
•    Perform integration testing to verify and refine intended behavior.
•    Use models to quantify the impact of technical considerations and trade-offs on overall vehicle behavior and user experience.
•    Document system designs and resulting subsystem requirements.

•    BS or MS Engineering +6 yrs relevant experience.
•    Proficient in Matlab Simulink or similar modeling environment.
•    Able to code in Python, Matlab or similar language.
