Job Summary

 

We're seeking a Trade Marketing Analyst to bridge the gap between B2C marketing and sales teams. This pivotal role demands a blend of marketing expertise and sales-driven focus to enhance short-term performance. As part of our dynamic team, you'll craft and execute trade marketing strategies to elevate brand visibility, market share, and profitability.

Job Responsibilities

 

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to uncover industry trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Evaluate competitor strategies, pricing, and product positioning to inform market dynamics.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to decipher consumer behavior and segmentation insights.

 

Trade Promotion Planning:

  • Devise and implement trade promotion strategies to boost sales and brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to tailor marketing programs aligned with retailer goals.
  • Assess promotion effectiveness using KPIs such as sales lift and ROI.

 

Channel Strategy Development:

  • Segment distribution channels based on demographics and preferences.
  • Recommend channel-specific tactics to optimize engagement and reach.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on channel performance.

 

Merchandising and POS Materials:

  • Partner with marketing and design teams to develop captivating merchandising materials.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all retail touchpoints.
  • Guide POS placement and visual merchandising to enhance product visibility.

 

Forecasting and Budget Management:

  • Work with finance and sales teams to develop accurate forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor budget utilization and identify cost-saving opportunities.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Provide market insights to product development teams for new launches.
  • Align trade marketing initiatives with sales and broader marketing campaigns.

 

Performance Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate reports to communicate key metrics and insights.
  • Conduct post-promotion analysis to refine future strategies.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum education High School Diploma 
  • 3+ years in trade marketing or related roles within consumer goods or retail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, or SAS.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel (5% on average)
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
