The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Treasury Manager (Milwaukee/ Chicago Market).

Job Summary


This role will be remote. Ideally, candidates will be located in one of the following areas: Chicago or Milwaukee. 


Reporting to the VP Treasury, the Manager, Treasury - Capital Markets will be a leader as Harley-Davidson, Inc. continues its journey to create a World-Class Treasury organization.  The Manager, Treasury will ensure that the treasury function supports the funding and capital markets needs of Harley-Davidson including timely execution of transactions and risk reduction through hedging.


The Manager, Treasury will be responsible for leading several Harley-Davidson’s treasury activities including its capital markets activities (corporate and subsidiary), financial hedging programs (commodities, foreign currencies, and interest rates), and overall liquidity management. In addition, the Manager, Treasury will be the lead in setting the agenda and preparing materials to support the quarterly Management Finance Committee meeting.  This position will be the primary contact with our banking partners in developing and executing strategies for capital raising and hedging.

Job Responsibilities

This position will provide leadership in all unsecured funding and capital markets activities. Primary funding activities include commercial paper and medium-term notes.  Primary capital markets activities include commodity and currency hedging.  This position will be the primary contact for the various capital market's banking partners.  


In addition to working closely with the Treasurer, the Manager, Treasury will interact regularly with the CFO, Securitization Director, Accounting Manager, Global Procurement Manager, and FP&A Manager. 

The position must be comfortable leading, managing, and developing people and will provide direct support to the Senior Treasury Analyst.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Required

Education Specifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline. Preference for MBA/MS or Professional Certification (CTP, CPA)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in corporate treasury or in a corporate banking environment
  • Strong knowledge of economics, accounting and tax principles, practices, financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build productive relationship
  • The candidate must have an understanding and experience with debt instruments (commercial paper and medium-term notes), foreign exchange, and derivative contracts.  
  • Demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines
  • Knowledge of funding and capital markets
  • SAP and Bank system experience is a must
  • A high degree of familiarity and comfort working in a Microsoft Office365 environment including Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong people leader with a high degree of integrity and accountability
