Job Summary

To help drive our strategy to build 2 million new riders, we are looking for an experienced Marketing professional who can help manage paid media for the Motor Company. This is a non-managerial role which will be critical in helping Harley-Davidson reach new consumers with inventive, high impact media. Leveraging consumer data, analytics, and cross-channel platforms will help ensure the greatest return on our paid media assets.


As an important part of Harley-Davidson’s US-based Marketing strategy, this role will have high visibility at all levels throughout the organization. Whether talking to other teams or non-Marketing Executives, this position will require whoever takes this role to adapt how the make recommendations, answer questions, and report results.

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for developing, executing, and reporting on the Motor Company’s US media strategy. The responsibilities required for executing the media strategy include:

  • Leading the development of an annual media strategy and execution of plans across all paid media channels.
  • Ensuring all campaign ideas are translated into tangible and executable media placements through partnership with both internal and external creative partners/agencies.
  • Analyzing media performance based on both media and company KPI’s; translating results into actionable insights and recommended adjustments to current and future campaigns.  
  • Managing the day to day of our media agency; acting as the Motor Company’s primary point of contact for the agency.
  • Partnering with internal teams to ensure alignment between media and other channels/teams.
  • Developing and maintain our sponsorship strategy, specifically as it relates to the overall media approach (e.g. negotiations, partnership relationship management, cross-channel execution).

Education Specifications

Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

Experience Requirements

This role typically requires at least eight years related work experience; ideally with five years of media planning and buying experience. If selected for an interview, please be prepared to demonstrate your competency in the following areas:

  • The creation of mature, often complex media plans across multiple consumer targets.
  • Ability to use data analysis and statistics to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Understanding of all paid media channels and their role in a comprehensive media plan.
  • Data management platforms and the utilization of 1st/3rd party data in media.
