Job Summary

The Media Lead plays a critical role in shaping and executing Harley-Davidson's North America media strategy across brand, lead generation, retail, and customer acquisition initiatives. This individual is responsible for driving media effectiveness, agency performance, testing and innovation, and business growth.

 

The ideal candidate combines strong strategic thinking with operational excellence and has a proven ability to lead agencies, influence stakeholders, and translate business objectives into measurable media outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated, full-funnel media strategies that support North America brand, customer acquisition, retail, and lead generation objectives.
  • Translate business and marketing priorities into data-driven media plans that drive measurable growth and align with customer journey goals.
  • Own media performance across key business metrics, providing strategic insights, forecasting, and optimization recommendations to maximize results.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Digital, Insights, Operations, Finance, and agency teams to align media investments with business objectives.
  • Lead media agency relationships, providing strategic direction, managing performance, and ensuring best-in-class execution and innovation.
  • Drive testing, measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives across channels, audiences, creative, and media tactics to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify emerging media trends, technologies, and opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategies that advance marketing and business performance.
  • Communicate media strategies, performance results, and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing decisions through clear, data-driven storytelling.

Experience Requirements

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in media planning, performance marketing, or integrated marketing.
  • Proven success developing and optimizing full-funnel media strategies across multiple channels and large-scale budgets.
  • Experience leading media agencies and managing external partner relationships.
  • Strong understanding of media measurement, performance analytics, and marketing technology platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Analytics, CM360, Meta).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex initiatives from strategy through execution and deliver measurable business results.

 

Preferred

  • Automotive, powersports, or lifestyle brand experience.
  • Familiarity with attribution, audience strategy, and customer data platforms.

 

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
