Job Summary
This position is responsible for aiding the H-D Archives in making relevant and accessible the stories of Harley-Davidson history and the archival collections. The Archivist will also lead in the identification, implementation and execution of proper archival procedures and practices that ensure the accurate and safe storage, access and retrieval of archival materials to facilitate the business process and meet the varied needs of internal and external stakeholders. Will also serve as either the primary or secondary point of contact with filling requests for historical information and imagery and will ensure its rapid and efficient dissemination.
Job Responsibilities
• Aid in filling service requests to the H-D Archives.
• Aid in accessing, cataloging, and photographing items acquired by the H-D Archives.
• Lead tours of the H-D Museum and Archives, present H-D history to employees
• Support General Merchandise and other products in development by reviewing them for visual and historical accuracy.
• Guide or support initiatives to preserve paper, artifact and digital collection items and convert print and photographic formats to digital.
• Assist with collections/exhibit content for social media.
• Assist with the proper preservation, care, and movement of H-D Archives historic vehicle collection.

Experience Requirements
Required:
This role typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience. The experience should provide the following:
• Proficiency with databases, digitization, electronic records, websites, or social media and a solid background in basic computer skills
• Ability to work both independently and on a team
• Demonstrate strong research and writing skills
• Knowledge of archival preservation techniques for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional artifacts

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
