Job Summary

 

The North America eCommerce Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the United States and Canadian Harley-Davidson online apparel, merchandise and parts & accessories stores including developing and achieving the financial sales forecast, operating income, and associated key performance indicators such as traffic, conversion rate, average order value, and sell-through. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of inventory, merchandising, and digital marketing strategies in support of the company’s retail objectives and multi-channel goals. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders in General Merchandise Product Development, Parts & Accessories Product Development, North America Sales, Marketing, and Digital teams to deliver the online customer experience and performance KPI’s.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Ownership and full P&L responsibility for H-D.com in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Develop and deliver the online sales forecast, inventory plan, and profitability targets.
  • Identify and prioritize key digital products and use cases to support growth plans in digital channels, omni-channel digital marketing campaigns, and omni-channel consumer data management and analytics.
  • Prioritize digital growth and investment initiatives for the U.S. and Canada.
  • Lead digital product delivery projects together with the IT team, ensure seamless consumer digital experience with the brand, and high efficiency for internal operation. 
  • Lead the generation, test, and business case build for digital innovation ideas.
  • Drive insights for H-D target consumers, with a focus of their behaviors in digital touchpoints, end to end digital journey with the brand.  
  • Drive the planning and delivery of commerce-focused omni-channel digital marketing campaigns and customer experiences.
  • Lead the collaboration mechanism with cross-functional teams including offline store operations, dealers, product, and IT teams.
  • Plan and execute the product mix, inventory, and merchandising strategy based on historical activity, trends, and other factors.
  • Partner with paid, owned and earned channel marketing teams to efficiently achieve site traffic goals.
  • Monitors operational performance to maintain efficient and effective order delivery.
  • Serve as an escalation point for resolving highly complex problems and customer requests.  Maintains strong relationships with customers and dealer personnel.
  • Provide appropriate and timely direction to team and business partners to react quickly to customer and business trends to maximize sales.

 

 

Required Experience 

 

This role typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience managing an online sales environment within the retail goods, apparel or fashion industries:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop inventory, merchandising, marketing, and operational eCommerce strategies to drive sales
  • Strong online sales experience with the proven ability to optimize sales.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to analyze data to draw conclusions and translate them into insights and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple projects.
  • Digital marketing understanding: Paid Search, SEO, Mobile, Social Technologies and Online Advertising
  • Deep business and technical acumen with an excellent understanding of merchandising retail, eCommerce, and multi-channel retailing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions with key stakeholders, influencing others with strong follow-through.
  • Passionate, savvy in the digital world 
  • Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud, AEM, or Big Commerce a plus

 

Education Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field.
