This position is onsite at our third-party distribution center in Greenwood, IN; square footage of this facility is 450K. This role will work directly with the 3PL to ensure that Harley-Davidson business needs are being met. Join our team as a Lead Logistics-Parts & Accessories (3PL Management).
Job Summary
The Lead Logistics role is responsible for executing operational strategies for dealer-facing logistics. This role will ensure the successful importation, transportation, storage, and delivery of material and product for product distribution sites. This role will also proactively lead continuous improvement efforts to improve logistics processes and partnerships and collaborate extensively with similar functions in other markets across the globe.
Job Responsibilities
- • Act as the single point of contact for distribution, transportation, and logistics for our aftermarket parts and accessories business
• On-site operations lead at our 3PL managed Greenwood Distribution Center (GDC) in Greenwood, Indiana
• Act as a liaison between H-D and the 3PL
• Partner internally to resolve dock grief, non-conforming material issues, and packaging in a timely manner
• Responsible for leading on-site continuous improvement projects
• Gather metrics packages and own related actions for continuous improvement
• Present business reviews to P&A stakeholders consisting of their metrics and progress to their projects / initiatives
• Partner with internal H-D functions including finance, commercial teams, transportation, supply chain, packaging, etc.
• Proactively monitor the financials of the operation and act as needed

Logistics, supply chain, business or another relevant field
Experience Requirements
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years related experience
• Ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of distribution operations
• Ability to work in a high pace atmosphere managing competing objectives
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and financial acumen
• Exemplary customer service / account management skills
• Experience in a best-in-class operation
• Tenacity, problem-solving, strong follow-up, and follow-through
• Open and collaborative communication with team members
• ERP experience, SAP preferred
• Microsoft 360 proficient
