The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Licensing Lead - Merchandise & Apparel.

Job Summary

The Licensing Lead is accountable for the execution of functional support to global apparel and accessories by supporting the licensee lifecycle management program for consumer product licensing. The Licensing Lead acts as day to day point of contact for all licensees, focusing on account management, product development, marketing and approvals with external and internal stakeholders. Manages strong working relationships with licensees in order to execute strong product development and management. Serves as a power-user of licensing management technology solution.

Job Responsibilities

-    Manage day to communications with all licensees. Ensure clear, timely and consistent communication between all licensees, sales, design, marketing and management. 
-    Continually analyze, identify and present opportunities to drive/grow the business in both existing and new categories. 
-    Ensure compliance of agreements (i.e.  royalty, distribution channels and product categories).
-    Assist with the review and approval of all cads, samples, packaging, etc
-    Assist licensing management team with amending and negotiating contracts. Ensure proper documentation (eg. NDA, LOI, etc.) is provided, if applicable. 
-    Assist in preparation of business reviews, presentations, market recaps and sales overviews. 
-    Serve as key contact for the DTC/Ecom team.
-    Manage the review and approval of new factories. 
-    Share appropriate corporate communications with licensees and partners in a timely manner. 
-    Research and review new account requests with licensing management team.
-    Key interface with GM Marketing and Corp Marketing. Prepare and share seasonal marketing plans with licensees. Identify opportunities and present to Licensing management team. 
-    Initiate and manage all incoming marketing needs with internal marketing and follow projects through to final approval. This includes Marketing and PR needs, packaging, showroom, website, POS, in-store visual, fixture needs, vendor guidelines and seasonal advertising requests. 
-    Ad hoc project as requested. 
 

Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret data management, financial and performance data analytics and recommend best practices to improve licensing management, royalty statements, and score-carding
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a group and/or team and provide guidance to other employees
  • Proven track record of continuously improving accuracy in reporting, managing technology solutions, and effectively managing projects
  • Must be collaborative and customer focused. Someone with superb project management skills.
