Job Summary

The Lead Information Technology Security will lead and mentor the team in security activities, delivery, innovation, design, architecture, technical management, and service operation functions as appropriate to cybersecurity disciplined fields. The Lead Information Technology Security will contribute and participate in Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity Planning, Cryptography, Legal, Regulations, Compliance Investigations, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Security Incident Response, NIST Cyber Security Framework, Security Operations, Emerging Technologies security planning, Architecture and Technical Design, and Security Vendor Assessments. This role will be responsible for taking the lead and managing complex technical scenarios across an international audience to arrive at a resolution via a methodical standardized process, and will be viewed as a strategic technical leader, and provide detailed technical cybersecurity guidance to peers, other members of GIS and business stakeholders alike. The Lead Information Technology Security will work across a variety of critical business domains including consumer, dealer, corporate and industry lines such as manufacturing, financial services, and general merchandise, etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • Technical thought leader and mentor across the cyber security domain, Global messaging cybersecurity domain, Platform cybersecurity, and Infrastructure cybersecurity
  • Accountable for ensuring the appropriate security implementation of messaging security solutions and ability to implement a compressive cybersecurity architecture/design technical review, including but not limited to Cloud Security, Network security, information rights management and an Identity access security framework.
  • Demonstrate understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO), structures, theories, principles and industry best practices
  • Lead, manage and provide governance in an outcome based delivery security model via outsourced partner leveraging technical leadership to pre-defined desired outcomes
  • Perform comprehensive technical threat hunting and intelligence collection across a variety of network technologies, IT capabilities, log sources and demonstrate expertise within the security and information system life cycle methodologies
  • Communicate clearly, diplomatically and effectively at all levels of the organization and to audiences with varying degrees of process and technical knowledge to create advocates across HDI.
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and multi-task | Experience working in a team-oriented, matrixed, collaborative environment while using analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert demonstrating analytical and problem-solving abilities

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Education Specifications

  • Bachelor Degree in computer science, MIS, Information Systems or Services, or equivalent
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (within 12 months of employment)

Experience Requirements


  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • 8 years active cyber security domain experience
  • Subject matter expert across multiple cyber security domains to support a matrixed team environment


  • Hands on experience with common IAM tools across industry (IE. Active Directory, ADFS, Cyberark, IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM), IBM Security Identity Manager (ISIM), LDAP)
  • Proficiency with common cyber security tools across industry (IE. Security Information Event Management (SIEM), Vulnerability Tools (Nessus, Tenable, Rapid 7,) etc. )
  • Comprehensive knowledge of common network cyber security tools/technologies to support this domain (IE. Firesight Management console, firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, etc.)
  • Broad knowledge of and extensive experience with common cybersecurity tools/technologies to support these domains (IE. Active Directory, PowerShell, Office 365 security enablement, Information Rights Management, Data Loss Prevention, Exchange Online protection, Iron Port, DMARC, honeypot, GPOs, SIEM, Platform security technologies, etc.)
