The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a HR Data Analyst.

Job Summary

This HR Analyst position is part of the HR Service Center. As such, we aim to enable data-driven solutions for our customers, in the HR organization as well as others inside and outside the organization. This role focuses heavily on data quality and the processes to ensure that data it is a trusted source for use in the HR analytics value pipeline. Another focus is maintaining that value, identifying new opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement of our analytics offerings.
 

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and Maintain Analytics Data Infrastructure (Data Factory)
  • Establish procedures for automating the extract, transform and load (ETL) of data into the HRSC data factory
  • Define data standards, policies, metrics for data requirements (accuracy, completeness, consistency, etc.)
  • Manage routine audits that monitor data quality to ensure data is meeting the established data quality requirements
  • Communicate, review and facilitate prescriptive data corrections for resolution
  • Educate stakeholders on analytical data requirements and data quality impacts
  • Apply data governance best practices (DMBOK) to the data factory
  • Create and maintain data-related documentation (e.g. data dictionaries, data maps, etc.)
  • Generate Value Through Innovation
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Maintain the backlog of ideas coming into the Innovation Pipeline
  • Apply agile project management methodology to prioritize and complete the work
  • Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team to bring new value to our stakeholders
  • Monitor deliverables to ensure they provide optimal value (Monitor Value)
  • Optimize analytics offerings with a focus on automation and self-service where those capabilities make sense
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure analytics requirements are being met
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members
  • Create reports for internal teams / stakeholders
  • Structure large data sets to create usable information
  • Create data visualizations for stakeholders to visualize data

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Education Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Information Systems or similar is preferred

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • The successful candidate will have experience in data management, ideally in an analytics environment.
