Harley-Davidson Motor Company is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, where the first H-D factory was built in 1903 - a wooden shed in the backyard of the Davidson's family home. Our onsite and hybrid Milwaukee area employees work out of the Harley-Davidson Product Development Center located just outside of the city - in Wauwatosa. Join our team as a Project Mgr Events.

Job Summary

This position is part of a team focused on successfully developing and executing brand experiences for Harley-Davidson consumers. The Harley-Davidson Experiential Team delivers numerous world-class events across the U.S. throughout the year for riders and non-riders, and this position plays a crucial role.

We seek a meticulous and strategic Project Manager to lead event marketing initiatives. This role blends project management expertise, marketing insight, and exceptional organizational skills to ensure the successful planning and execution of a diverse range of events. The ideal candidate will excel at managing budgets, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering flawless event experiences. A customer-centric mindset and the ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently are essential for this position.
 

Job Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans for various events, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Assist in creating engaging materials, programs, and unique experiences tailored to each event.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including brand, campaign, sales, product marketing, partnerships, PR and social media, to ensure alignment and synergy across all initiatives.

Issue Resolution & Adaptability:

  • Anticipate and address any issues or challenges that arise during the event planning and execution phases.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and priorities with flexibility and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze event performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations for future improvements.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Education Specifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in event management, project management, or marketing.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the year.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in budgeting and working with external suppliers.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • (Preferred) Motorcycle riding experience or a willingness to learn to ride.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
