This remote role is not tightly linked to a physical location and provides flexibility in where, when and how you accomplish your work. Remote employees are expected to have a dedicated, quiet and distraction-free work space and an internet connection that’s sufficient for completing their job remotely.

Job Summary

The Email Marketing Manager will oversee critical initiatives within the data driven marketing area of Email Marketing. They will lead overall direction, coordination, implementation and execution of the H-D global email marketing strategy and approach to deliver on commercial, brand building and marketing objectives. This role is responsible for leading the Email Marketing Team to deliver on the vision of customer centric personalized email content that leads to deeper and more relevant engagement with our customers. This leader works to build personalized email content and journeys to delivery the right message at the right time to our customers. Delivering the strategy, execution and process to fully unlock the depth and breadth of our customer data and allow for connections across all digital channels. 

 

 

This individual will manage a team directly and also partner with cross-functional teams outside of marketing and pass along strategic direction from Team Director, VP Marketing, Marketing Leaders, Digital and Commercial Leaders, etc.  

 

The ideal candidate for this role must be a motivated self-starter who is always looking to improve their work and make a difference in Global Marketing. They must be an expert in email marketing and engaging consumers through this crucial communication and commerce channel. They ensure all projects are completed with consistency to the company strategy and goals and that their direct reports are thriving and developing with their personal contributions.  

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Partners with Consumer Insights and Campaign Marketing to know our customers deeply and craft personalized strategies to inspire a deeper connection with our brand through email marketing  
  • Partner with Campaign Marketing, Digital and Commercial teams to drive campaigns from planning to execution and beyond to meet key performance metrics 
  • Overseeing various email marketing programs from strategy through tactical execution including A/B testing, journey building, campaign management, and analytics  
  • Site Optimization – Work with hd.com to analysis of page performance; provide recommendations (e.g. form conversion rate, quality of UX, quality of traffic by source, etc.) 
  • Journey Governance: Maintain campaign calendar, driving thoughtful planning among multiple stakeholders to avoid overcommunication to a singular audience  
  • Identify gaps in current processes and work with cross-functional partners including Content, Design, Engineering, Product, and QA teams to drive efficiencies 
  • Lead and enable the Email Marketing team to work effectively & collaboratively, by developing the necessary leadership behaviors, skill sets, & differentiating capabilities. 
  • Day-to-Day contact and lead for email creative agency partner 
  • Tools used: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Consumer Data Platform

Bachelor's Degree Required

Required 

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience. 
  • Possesses impeccable facilitation, written and oral communication skills along with effective team leadership skills with a focus on developing and nurturing top talent   
  • Demonstrates sound ability to lead, collaborate and gain results through influence of peers and senior leaders with a proven ability to work in a highly matrixed organization  
  • Embodies a strong sense of urgency in terms of both the prevention of issues and the timely and effective reaction to issues if they do emerge   
  • Ability to identify and drive proactive work that aligns overall corporate vision and respective market goals, all while considering the most effective means of addressing dealer needs.

  • Can operate with a holistic view of the retail business and enterprise operations, which enables effective decision-making, ability to prioritize work, & proactively address opportunities at the market-level. 
  • Effectively navigates at various levels of the organization to acknowledge and balance connected and dependent strategies, directions & priorities.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
