Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the “jewel” of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary

 

The Lead Quality position is the key contact for the quality lab at the powertrain plant. This position will coordinate and support standard floor checks, nonstandard quality lab checks and direct lab personnel to support business goals. 
 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Define, design and develop coordinate measurement metrology solutions including hardware engineering, software implementation, and instrument qualification.
  • Collect and perform statistical analysis on metrology data to correlate to product specifications.
  • Participate in the creation of equipment qualification validation plans, validation protocols and reports, and their implementation. 
  • Support auditing and maintenance of our gaging system to function in compliance to the ISO9000 standard.
  • Provide hardware and software support for measurement machines on the production floor machine support.
  • Provide support for nonstandard measurements as needed in the quality lab.
  • Take a lead role in troubleshooting, problem solving, failure analysis, root cause, and corrective action processes as related to repetitive machine failures and continuous improvement. 
  • Track and manage capital expenditures for equipment support.
  • Calibration, routine inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of instruments, meters, gages, and other measurement and testing equipment. 
  • Advises others on methods of resolving measurement problems and exchanges information with other metrology personnel.
  • Coordinates and schedules onsite support with vendor representatives. 
  • Direct other lab staff to achieve stated objectives.
  • Develop lab org structure as needed. 
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Education Specifications

 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred 

Experience Requirements

 

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
