Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the “jewel” of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Join our team as a Metrology Technician and help build the world’s most sought-after motorcycles.

Job Summary

  • Assist with Initial Sample Inspections, Gage R&R’s, and Process Capability Studies.

  • Perform nonstandard measurements for parts and provide layout data in support of plant engineering

  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform part measurements on a variety of equipment to support product quality analysis

  • Perform a variety of routine inspections/testing tasks to ensure quality levels are in conformance with standards and requirements.

  • Repair mechanical floor support gages

  • Read and interpret GD&T prints to ISO and Y14.5 standards.

  • Perform calibrations of shop floor CNC style equipment. Zeiss CMMs, Gleason/Klingelnberg Gear inspection equipment.

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and use internal and external resources to drive to corrective actions

  • Implement new tools and systems of measurement as required by the business

Experience Requirements

  • Mechanical, electronic, and computer aided measurements

  • Precision high volume manufacturing

  • A2LA accreditation requirements, NIST traceability requirements, and ISO 9001 calibration requirements

  • Zeiss Calypso Software

  • Experience with gear and shaft measurement  systems

  • Ability to problem solve under changing circumstances

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
