Job Summary
The Finance and Insurance Consultant (FIC) will meet established financial and non-financial targets, maximizing business opportunities in the areas of retail finance sales (both new and used), retail insurance product sales including, but not limited to, comprehensive, extended warranty plans, pre-owned bike program as well as any other additional products that may be added as business opportunities evolve.
The FIC will be a trusted business advisor for the dealer network (within the assigned territory). They will effectively manage the day-to-day relationships; being the interface between the business, our dealer network, and our finance & insurance product providers, ensuring activities and priorities are aligned to the organization’s key objectives and facilitating growth.
The FIC will be responsible for ensuring that business managers and other business staff have the necessary information, resources, and skills to deliver commercial success and provide customer experience that meets expectations. This includes developing and continuously improving training materials and supporting resources for them.
Job Responsibilities
- Liaising, building trusting relationships and influencing key stakeholders (the finance & insurance product providers, HDFS, H-D and the dealership network) towards development, delivery and fulfilment of all F&I products.
- Analyze the finance and insurance sales process to identify gaps, implement best practices, and maximize mutual value.
- Develop a better understanding of the dealers’ needs as it relates to available products and building individual plans for markets or dealerships.
- Working with product suppliers to build new products and campaigns as well as follow-up activities to ensure the success of these initiatives.
- Develop on your own or through partners requisite training material or resources to ensure that the dealers and staff have a good understanding of the F&I products, processes, and procedures to leverage the programs
- Acting as a subject matter expert to the dealers. This requires extensive product and system knowledge, and mentoring dealership personnel where required.
- Develop and deploy marketing material to promote F&I products at stores, digitally and otherwise.
- Providing accurate and timely information updates and training to the dealerships.
- Maintaining an understanding of competitors’ and their products. Ensuring HDFS / HD offerings are competitive.
- Internal and Dealer reporting as required.
- Drive 2 or more projects towards the development of your markets and capabilities deployed therein at any time.
- Other duties as assigned.

Bachelors Degree Preferred
Experience Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 10 years of experience and 5 years of related experience in Banking, Auto Finance or Automotive Industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills; Functional knowledge of written and spoken English is a minimum requirement.
- Ability and willingness to travel >40% as needed, with overnights required.
