Job Summary

This position is an Engineering level position requiring expertise in motorcycle systems, components, and related manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about motorcycling and is customer focused ensuring that the business needs are being met and upholding our quality vision of creating “Customer for Life”.

This position reports to Manager Supplier Quality – India Region but will be resident at our proposed Manufacturer Assembly plants within India. In this position, you will act as a technical expert and liaison for PDC engineering as a vital partner to the quality and manufacturing teams.

Job Responsibilities

Provide Engineering guidance and resources to support Vehicle assembly operations and Product Development, as it relates to improving quality and risk mitigation of production motorcycles through Engineering Changes and Product Deviations.
Communicate project status, issues, metrics and recommended plans to cross-functional and executive teams.
Collaborate with our global assembly plant engineering teams in Brazil and Thailand to help troubleshoot issues abroad.
Help root cause and troubleshoot issues dealing with paint, fabrication, and assembly as well as supplier related issues related to castings, stampings, paints, finishes, and more.
Direct design and development of quality and cost improvement activities. This includes externally brokered as well as internally supported design, developing and testing.
Capture technical knowledge obtained in problem solving or quality improvement efforts within Harley-Davidson’s Product Development processes.
Follow applicable escalation help chains for quick identification and resolution of quality concerns
Support iPPAP and PPAP process and requests for product deviation requests to ensure engineering specifications are being maintained.
Support the implementation of running change projects.

Job Responsibilities

Year-End/Month-end Processes:

Ensure that the accounting close process is completed accurately and on time, in line with Harley-Davidson requirements.
Work with the Finance team as needed to maintain accurate accounting records, up-to-date and reconciled accounts, as well as timely and robust management reporting.

Strong interpersonal skills and skills necessary to communicate with all levels of management.

Job Responsibilities:

Support the production operation by providing immediate response to all breakdowns to minimize equipment downtime and follow all escalation processes as defined

Job Responsibilities

Administrative Support

Manage and maintain the leaders complex calendar, including scheduling meetings, resolving conflicts, and coordinating travel arrangements (domestic and international).
Prepare agendas, presentations, reports, and meeting materials; take and distribute minutes for key meetings.
Handle confidential correspondence, emails, and phone calls with discretion and professionalism.

Project & Operational Support

Support preparation of materials for board meetings and compliance reporting.
Compile and analyze data for reports, dashboards, and presentations.

Communication & Liaison

Serve as the primary point of contact for the leader, ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal teams and external partners.
Coordinate with senior leadership and other stakeholders.

Confidentiality & Compliance

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive leadership and organizational matters.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all administrative processes.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.

Experience Requirements

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Excellent communication and composition skills. Requires strong PC skills, including accuracy and proficiency in a Windows environment, including proficiency in spreadsheets, graphics, and software.
Requires exceptional written and oral skills.
Requires excellent organizational skills, planning and prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines with outstanding attention to detail and follow-up activities.
Due to the sensitive nature of the work this position will be responsible for a successful candidate must have the ability to maintain confidential information. Discretion and diplomacy are critical skills.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
