Our Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems group has an opening for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer. Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems (HDDS) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Harley-Davidson Motor Company located in Valley View, Ohio, in the greater Cleveland area. As a dealership solution provider, Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems provides software, hardware, training and customer support to meet the needs of domestic Harley-Davidson dealers. This position will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications

This is what you’ll do:

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of and enterprise data warehouse.

• Design and enhance new and existing ETL processes

• Troubleshoot issues and performance tune all layers of the EDW as necessary

• Provide oversight (schema recommendations, best practices, etc.) on non-EDW databases

• Work cross-functionality to provide solutions to both internal and external business customers

• Provide guidance to the operational DBA’s

• Provide input on how to best consume the EDW data in BI solutions such as Tableau

Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Experience Required
We are looking for someone with..


• 5 years of hands on experience with data warehousing in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.

• 3 years of experience working with SQL Server’s High-Availability solution and familiarity with SQL Server’s disaster recovery options

• Experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS

• Strong knowledge of data modeling and data quality.

• Proficient at writing relational and multi-dimensional database queries

• Exposure to configuring, deploying, and maintaining database servers is a plus

• Exposure to Tableau is a plus

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Flexible, team player, with a “get-it-done” personality

• Exposure to scrum (or other Agile frameworks) is a huge plus
