The team works closely with the local regional office for Central Europe in Neu-Isenburg and the wider organisation including the Company Headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA).  


Join our team as Finance & Insurance Consultant for the German North/West Region covering the most of North Rhine-Westphalia and beyond. 

The Finance & Insurance Consultant will meet established financial and non-financial targets and maximize business opportunities in the areas of Retail Finance Sales both new and used, Retail Insurance product sales including Extended Warranty Plans, Service Plans, GAP, MOTI, Road side & Recovery, Motor-Cycle Road Insurance & any other additional products.

The F&I Consultant will be responsible for being the trusted Finance & Insurance business advisor for the dealer network within the assigned territory by:

  • Effectively managing the day to day relationship and be the direct dealer interface with Finance & Insurance product providers in the region
  • Managing day to day relationship between Harley-Davidson Financial Services and Harley-Davidson Europe ensuring activities and priorities are aligned to the company’s key objectives


Primary Responsibilities

  • Liaison between the finance & insurance product providers, HDFS, the dealership network, and in particular, the dealer principal & Business Managers if applicable
  • Macro and micro level involvement with the annual HDFS business plan 
  • Analyze Sales and F&I process to identify gaps and implement best practices to maximize mutual value for the dealer and HDFS
  • Discussion of the dealers’ needs as it relates to HDFS building on a short term and long term approach
  • Work with HDFS as it relates to new product launches to ensure the success of these specific launches 
  • Establishment of goals to help the dealers measure their successes or opportunities for improvement
  • Holding extensive knowledge of HDFS products and services and mentoring dealership personnel through training, onsite-visits and further communication channels
  • Maintain and obtain additional industry knowledge via continuing education and training opportunities as provided the company
  • Perform regular dealer visits to obtain and discuss financial information, facilitate debrief meetings with the dealer principal and other key staff and deliver training
  • Ensure communication between the company, dealers and outside network
  • Be responsible for the management of the regional budget including expenses, promotional materials, Dealer Events and Point of sale material
  • Create internal/external reports and communicate results within the sales and operational departments
  • Maintain a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures


Job Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • GCSE level required, University/College bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • A minimum of three years related experience in an automotive financial services company and/or dealership environment

Competencies (Skills & Abilities)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Strong negotiating and decision making skills a must
  • Frequent travel required
  • Must perform well in a self-directed environment
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPoint is preferred
  • Demonstrate ability to take the initiative and achieve results in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
  • Positive influencing skills
