The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a Talent Generalist - Industrial & Contingent Labor (open to remote work).

Job Summary & Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Talent Generalist to help lead the program management of our contingent labor program and recruiting of industrial labor at our U.S. facilities. 

 

This is what you’ll do:

  • Partner with the staffing supply chain to ensure fulfillment of contingent openings in a timely manner with quality candidates.
  • Manage and build relationships with the staffing suppliers by communicating with and training suppliers as new processes/procedures are rolled out.
  • Interact with plant leadership and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and ensure we are meeting their needs.
  • Full lifecycle recruiting of industrial labor for our union workforce. 
  • Leverage SuccessFactors and other tools to effectively track and manage candidates for industrial positions.
  • Leverage Fieldglass to manage the contingent worker lifecycle (sourcing, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding).
  • Engage with stakeholders as needed for day to day issues or concerns.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements

3 years of relevant experience within Talent Acquisition, Staffing Supplier Management, or Human Resources and can demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to work across various levels of the organization and build collaborative relationships with internal partners including union leadership.
  • Experience managing relationships (business facing & external facing).
  • Experience using Fieldglass or another related vendor management system (VMS); and, SuccessFactors or another applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Strong organizational skills while working on multiple tasks.
  • Ability to think holistically about processes, programs and tools – as well as identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence within a collaborative framework.
  • Initiative to analyze and resolve problems quickly, efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of appropriate procedures for handling sensitive and confidential information.
