The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Corporate Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI is the site where the first H-D factory - a wooden shed - was built in 1903 in the backyard of the William C. Davidson family home. Join our team as a  Fleet Sales Representative - Northwest.

Job Summary

The Representative Fleet Sales has the primary responsibility for Police & Fleet sales in the U.S.A. (two major customers; our dealers and government agencies). This role is holistically responsible for Police & Fleet motorcycle and Parts & Accessories sales to the dealer network and the governmental end users.

Job Responsibilities

  • Educate and mentor U.S. field staff, dealer network and governmental agencies from local, state and federal. The education is not only our product offerings but in assisting our dealers and customers in the complex bid process, sales process, financing/leasing, fitment of all police emergency equipment, advantages in purchasing Harley-Davidson parts and accessories with the proper fitment based on the departmental needs, and competitive vehicle differences
  • Maintain industry leadership in police sales and maintain our current market share of over 80% and achieve all Police & Fleet sales departmental vehicle and Parts & Accessories sales goals
  • Operate with a “very close to the customer” philosophy and is responsible for developing market area strategy and maintaining relationships with dealers and law enforcement/government agencies. As well as Develop relationships with target customers (new and competitive conversions)
  • Responsible for understanding the police & fleet strategy and selecting the events that will support our department goals in each market area. Assist in coordination of national events (i.e. Daytona Bike Week) and market area events/trade shows (between 10-15) that may require law enforcement
  • Operate and maintain a company owned cargo van or pick-up truck towing a 2-4 bike capacity COV trailer utilized in field operation demos with customers and dealers. Expected to be able to demo our products at a high technical ability
  • Domestic US travel required more than 75%

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, including experience with windows applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point)
  • Must be willing to operate a cargo van or pick-up truck and trailer combination with a clean drivers record

Preferred

  • Law Enforcement background highly preferred
  • Law Enforcement motorcycle experience strongly desired
  • With experience in a law enforcement supervisory capacity or environment is beneficial
  • Motorcycle Endorsement/ Advance Riders Training MSF and Police Operator training preferred
