Our Powertrain Operations facility, located on Pilgrim Road in Menomonee Falls, WI, is where the “jewel” of the motorcycle comes to life. Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. Job Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the Pilgrim Road Powertrain Operations production schedules by ensuring accurate planning of materials and on-time delivery from suppliers.

 

Job Responsibilities

•    Serves as the primary interface between H-D’s PTO assembly and manufacturing areas and an assigned group of domestic, international, or dual tier suppliers.
•    Manages MRP system settings to ensure an adequate supply of material for factory production schedules while minimizing inventory investment and obsolescence exposure.
•    Collaborates with Logistics and Material Operations to ensure on-time delivery and receipt of materials.
•    Periodically reviews safety stock strategies for assigned parts.
•    Assists in the transition of new model parts from centralized development purchasing to local plant operations.
•    Manages part-level running changes by ensuring adequate supply and minimizing costs.
•    Collaborate with Supplier Quality as it relates to Non-Conforming Material (NCM) should a quality concern arise and ensure the production areas are receiving certified and conforming material.
•    Processes supplier invoices in SAP.
•    Communicates effectively with all internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

 

Experience Requirements

Required-

•    Typically requires three years of experience in a supply chain and/or manufacturing environment
•    Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain concepts including materials planning.
•    Excellent problem solving, analytical, technical, and communications skills.
•    Willingness and skills to work effectively within a group and / or team.


Preferred-
•    Experience working with suppliers.
•    Experience in a manufacturing environment.
•    SAP ECC and APO experience.
•    Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
•    Supply Chain certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, CPSM, SCPro).
•    Motorcycle riding experience and knowledge in Harley-Davidson motorcycles and accessories.
