We are currently looking for a Sr. Reliability and Evaluation Engineer; focused on Chassis Systems. This important position will support and lead new product development programs to achieve reliability objectives prior to start of production.

Key Deliverables
This Engineering position will be held accountable for delivering the following:

• Lead the development of FMEAs, reliability requirement and specification plans covering analysis to be performed, component accelerated stress tests and system accelerated testing.

• Establish, lead and manage system and component failure analysis, reliability modeling, failure mode and reliability knowledge capture.

• Analyze and report on test results (event charts, Weibull, etc.) to predict reliability and asses risks.

• Drive for robust Root-Cause and Failure Analysis of warranty issues. Perform deep-dives and analyze field data to identify opportunities for improvement and the effectiveness of fixes. Plan and conduct necessary testing to understand the problem and verify solutions are effective in resolving the problem.

• Communicate Reliability Engineering information results within the organization through the following:

• Attending and participating in Quality and Design Reviews

• Drive high quality design through timely communication of warranty data

• Develop and document best practices using standardized processes and tools: Benchmarking; design & simulation guidelines; DFMEA & DVP&R templates; drawing templates; critical path planning templates and general knowledge management for assigned design control/s expertise that enable new product & current product development success

• Support world class system group results through relentless continuous improvement, professional & technical growth, peer collaboration, and team focused participation

• Facilitate the technical assessment of core mechanical system, sub-system, and component requirements/performance by leading and/or guiding the hands-on application of engineering analysis, simulation, and testing

Education Required
Position requires a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related area

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. In addition they will have demonstrated the following:

Chassis component & system design/specification

• Experienced developing "ground up" product and validation requirements for mechanical components. Respected contributor in peer reviews, offering others experience based critique.

Mechanical test procedure development

• Has adapted proven test methods to validate mechanical component/system performance and functionality. Demonstrated ability in recommending new tools to expand test capabilities.

Systems engineering for motorcycle or automotive application

• Extensive hands-on experience in mechanical systems design and implementation for vehicle application with strong understanding of user correlation data analysis, performance requirements and environmental validation testing.


• Has led/facilitated DFMEA/DVP&R design reviews. Capable of helping others identify and resolve gaps in completeness and accuracy & how to engage appropriate stakeholders for DFMEA input.
