Job Summary
The Operations IT Analyst is responsible for the ultimate success of all aspects of GIS (Global Information Services) support for their assigned site, which spans multiple applications and systems. This particular role is at our Powertrain Operations facility supporting assembly and production.

You are responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining infrastructure technology systems with a focus on manufacturing devices and systems. This position supports a GIS manufacturing systems group responsible for designing, developing, implementing, supporting, and maintaining infrastructure and related technology systems. It has responsibility for managing technology planning and deployment, systems management, integration testing, and developing a technical operations workforce. This position is accountable for incident management deliverables including, but not limited to: standardized work, process management (Incident, Change, and Problem), reporting/metrics, project management, quality delivery, safety and driving continuous improvement.

The Operations IT Analyst will work directly with Control and Industrial Engineers as well as GIS teams on a daily basis. You will be responsible for tier 2 supports on manufacturing applications and lead technology support partners in re-engineering processes supported by technology systems, introducing new information and technology-based capabilities and opportunities, and in maintaining and delivering the range of approved services and technology needed to support required business processes. This role assists in identifying and implementing business continuous improvement opportunities which may lead to small IT enhancements.

Education Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of relevant technology and business process experience for the assigned area. In addition they will have demonstrated the following:

• Experience with requirements gathering and solution options development.

• Experience with mapping of business processes, KPIs, data flows and conceptual models.

• Experience forming strong business partnerships.

• Participation in demand management, prioritization, and business case development.

• Project participation experience, including understanding of full lifecycle implementations for major information management capabilities.

• Participation in technology selection processes including RFIs and RFPs.

• Experience working with information management technologies which may include SAP BW, BI, BI Accelerator, and Business Objects; IBM data Stage, Quality State and Real-Time Integration; IBM DB2 Data warehouse, Microsoft SQL server and Analytics Services; and SAP and IBM MDM.

• Understanding of ITIL processes and six sigma practices.

• Ability to translate technology concepts into business terminology.

• Proven ability to make sound and logical judgments.

• Strong interpersonal, written, presentation and oral communication skills.

• Highly self-motivated and directed.

• Ability to collaborate within a team while exercising independent judgment and initiative.

• Ability to work under pressure, meets deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
