Job Summary
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing architecture for Harley-Davidson at the enterprise level. You will define target technical architecture and provide vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving ability to your assigned line of business (LoB) organization.

Its key that you are familiar with a variety of the LoB concepts, practices, and procedures as this role relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

An effective Enterprise Architect will guide or lead evaluation and selection of enterprise architectures that align and/or drive current and future business needs across the enterprise, while acting as an internal business consultant in the support of evolving the company's IT capabilities and services.

Education Required
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or a related technical discipline.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of architecture experience in IT with progressive responsibility and influence. In addition, they will have demonstrated the following:

• Broad technology knowledge of major line of business applications, SOA/middleware and platform vendors

• Demonstrated experience in setting and influencing company-wide strategic architecture/technical direction

• Demonstrated experience in the development of architecture for business programs/projects

• Demonstrated experience in establishing architecture for architecture/technology standards

• Provide training, mentorship and ongoing support of architecture best practices to all IT stakeholders

• Strong analytical ability, judgment and problem analysis techniques

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal and able to effectively operate with executives.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.

• Ability to work with teams that are geographically distributed and work across different time zones.

• Motivated by the desire to make a difference in the business, to work with a highly talented set of peers, and to work on interesting projects

• Demonstrated ability to execute financial analysis, such as TCO models and ROI

• Technically competent; able to supervise and inspire other senior architects

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with EA Tools, enterprise architecture repositories and meta-modeling.

• Certification or experience with enterprise architecture methodologies and frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEAF.

• ITIL Foundation level certification.
