Job Summary:
The Director Information Management plays a lead role in engaging with senior business leaders to establish an overall Information Management agenda and strategy, and understanding of business direction to develop an overall IM strategy. Working holistically across all global process areas (e.g. Order to Cash, Source to Pay, Plan to Produce), this role leads the process to establish and execute the IT strategic direction and user adoption for Information Management capabilities working in collaboration with business stakeholders, Process Technology Managers, GIS’s GSD and CTO organizations. Information Management capabilities include Business Intelligence, Data Management Life Cycle, Data Warehouse and Operational Reporting, This role leads the process to shape information management demand using a global lens providing the highest level of strategic value. During shaping, this role appropriately scopes, estimates, and industry benchmarks initiatives as they are prioritized and approved within the overall business capability roadmap. For approved roadmap initiatives, this role ensures business requirements for information management services are defined at an appropriate level to be handed off to GIS’s Global Solutions Delivery organization. This role ensures the expected value and service levels are defined, tracked, and met, and identifies continuous improvement opportunities when service levels do not meet expectations.

Education Required:
- Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience Required:
The successful candidate will have the following experience and expertise:
- 15 years of relevant information management technology experience, preferably in a global capacity.
- Demonstrated experience with educating and leading senior business leaders with technology concepts.
- Demonstrated experience with development of IT strategies, roadmaps, demand management and prioritization, solution options development, and business case development.
- Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of information management technologies and capabilities which may include SAP BW, BI, BI Accelerator, and Business Objects; IBM data Stage, Quality State and Real-Time Integration; IBM DB2 Data warehouse, Microsoft SQL server and Analytics Services; and SAP and IBM MDM.
- Strong project management experience, including management of full lifecycle implementations for major applications.
- Experience with technology selection processes including RFIs and RFPs.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and service level management.
- Ability to translate technology concepts into business terminology.
- Proven ability to make sound and logical judgments.
- Strong interpersonal, written, presentation, and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to collaborate within a team while exercising independent judgment and initiative.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
