Job Summary
The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for managing the Harley-Davidson’s technology platform strategy and value realization from Harley-Davidson platform investments which include management and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), capacity, adoption and lifecycle plans.

You will provide innovative strategic technology direction and leadership to the business, pragmatic oversight of technology projects, and leadership in the planning and implementation of the entire technology base. This role will guide company decision-making relative to the use of appropriate technologies; timing for broad exploitation; timing to exit existing technologies; and will influence strategic partners in the direction that benefits HDI’s Harley-Davidson’s business needs.

You will be a member of the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) team and will be a key contributor in executing the a consensus-based, participatory planning process that identifies and documents functional business area activities, data that supports those business activities, applications used to manage that data, and technologies necessary to support business processes.

Education Required
Technical undergraduate degree (or related field) is required. MS or MBA preferred.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of IT related experience (with at least 5 years infrastructure/architecture management experience) and a minimum of 5 years management experience. In addition, they will have demonstrated the following:

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of architecture management experience.

• Proven track record of responsibility for managing program, project and/or functional teams.

• Excellent presentation skills; strong written and oral skills; business relationship skills including the ability to quickly create productive collaborations.

• Complete technical architecture: Deep expertise in two or more technology domains (network/infrastructure, collaboration, cloud, data, applications/middleware) but fluency in all technology domains.

• Expertise in several soundness disciplines (TOGAF, recovery and availability, security, etc.) and operational disciplines (systems management, change management, etc.).

• Ability to collaborate with and direct other technologists to ensure synergies across the team.

• Ability to solve problems with innovative ideas to affect change in Harley-Davidson's environments as a result.

• Proven ability to manage effective teams in highly agile environments.

• Experienced agile practitioner across agile methodology and practices.

• Knowledge of the business for which the enterprise architecture is being developed

• Interpersonal and leadership skills - servant leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills

• Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand

• Knowledge of financial modeling as it pertains to IT investment

• Proven ability to deliver global infrastructure projects following sound project management principles (scope, cost, communications, risk, and planning)

• Experience managing Infrastructure Managements Services or operations globally
