Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will manage the Company’s new business development capability required to support the growth aspirations inherent in the global long-term strategic plan including the Company’s sustainability initiatives.

You will build support for new business initiatives through influence, persuasion and trust with key stakeholders. You will not only seek to investigate, explore and develop external new business opportunities but will also be responsible for supporting Company stakeholders to uncover new business innovations within internal businesses and existing business models which drive incremental revenue and profit. You will present to and consult with senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new products, services and channels. Using knowledge of the motorcycle market and its competitors, you will identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators and apply them within each new business opportunity to achieve maximum scale and impact. Lastly, you will research and build relationships with new business contacts, architect negotiations between the Company and external contacts, oversee the due diligence process of any potential candidates and provide recommendations on strategic fit.

Education Required
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or related field. An MBA is preferred.

Experience Required
The position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in business development leadership role. The successful candidate must have:

• Demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and new business development processes

• Strong project management skills and ability to effectively utilize project management tools and techniques.

• Strong business and analytical skills

• Demonstrated ability to complete strategic assessments, evaluate financials, drive financial projections and structure business scenarios

• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough negotiations and conduct financial due diligence procedures to assess viability of new business opportunities

• Ability to collect, evaluate, and organize multiple sources of data

• Ability to organize information and construct reports to effectively communicate conclusions through appropriate use of charts and graphs

• Experience and knowledge of the global motorcycle market or a similar consumer industry preferred
